About the Region

The Ocean Corridor

The project region consists of two contiguous Economic Development Districts – the Cape Cod Economic Development District and Southeastern Regional Planning and Economic Development District. The region extends from the tip of Cape Cod, along SouthCoast of Massachusetts, across the Rhode Island state line. It includes all of Barnstable County and portions of Bristol and Plymouth Counties; the regional planning agencies are the Cape Cod Commission and SRPEDD respectively. The region contains 28 cities and towns, supporting a population of nearly 570,000.
